Artwork story
The pencil yam trails low across the ground with yellow flowers, and the long root that people dig for sits hidden beneath it. Jedda paints Kame, the yam seed, and the tracks and cracks the plant leaves in the earth above. The story came to her through her father's side and belongs to Alhalkere, her country in Utopia, where the yam is both food and medicine.
