Midnight Blues Paintings

Midnight Blues is a curated selection of Aboriginal paintings centred on deep blue tones inspired by the desert at night.

Under moonlight, desert sands take on a blue hue as the sky reflects across the land. These works draw from that moment, where darkness softens colour and the landscape shifts into shadow, rhythm, and quiet movement.

Blues in this collection echo night skies, moonlit country, and the stillness that settles after dusk. Some works lean into rich indigo and navy, others into softer tonal blues layered with earth pigments, creating contrast between land and sky.

This collection brings together paintings that feel calm, expansive, and atmospheric, unified by colour while remaining distinct in story and composition.
