Debbie Napaljarri Brown

Debbie Napaljarri Brown paints sand dunes, translating the movement and rhythm of the desert into layered, flowing compositions. Her work is non-figurative and built on repetition, colour and texture, with carefully built surfaces that echo the patterns left by wind and shifting sand. Subtle changes in mark making and palette keep each painting distinct, and while her subject stays consistent, each work varies in tone, scale and density.
