Yaritji Heffernan was born near Mulga Park station near Ernabella which is located in Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in South Australia. Her artwork beautifully reflects the vibrant landscape and culture of her homeland. her work focuses on art focuses on the theme of "Kapi Tjukula" or rock holes, which are essential water sources in the desert landscape.
