Tjimpuna Williams is an acclaimed Pitjantjatjara artist creating vibrant contemporary paintings on canvas with Art by Farquhar. For over 25 years, she has created works of her mother’s Country, Piltati (near Kanpi, APY Lands, SA).

Artistic Focus

Though her early career included ceramics, Tjimpuna recently has started to paint on canvas. Her canvases blend cultural knowledge with contemporary abstraction, using layered textures and dynamic colour fields to express enduring connections to Piltati.
