Gloria Petyarre (Pitjara)

Gloria Petyarre born 1945, Mosquito Bore Utopia, Northern Territory, Australia was a celebrated Indigenous Australian artist known for her Bush Medicine Leaves paintings, which feature flowing, layered brushstrokes that create a mesmerizing sense of movement. She was a leading figure in the Utopia art movement and played a significant role in bringing Aboriginal art to international recognition. Gloria sadly passed away in 2021
