Gwenda Turner Nungurrayi

Gwenda Turner Nungurrayi paints with bottles rather than the stick many Warlpiri painters use, a technique she developed herself. It gives her work its signature flowing, wavy lines of precise dots. She paints from instinct without sketching: "It comes natural." She grew up painting alongside Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi, daughter of Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri.
