Farron Furber Jampitjinpa

Farron Furber Jampitjinpa is a Warlpiri artist and part of one of the Central Desert's notable painting families. He is the son of Julieanne Turner Nungurrayi and grandson of Maureen Nampijinpa Hudson, both respected Warlpiri artists whose work is well represented in our gallery, with the family's roots at Yuelamu and Yuendumu, north-west of Alice Springs.

Farron paints the stories passed down through his mother, including Budgerigar Dreaming, waterholes, and his country, continuing traditions that have moved through three generations of his family. His style shows Julieanne's influence clearly, finely detailed work built up in layered patterns, while developing a hand of his own.

As an emerging artist from an established lineage, Farron's paintings offer an accessible entry point into a family of work collected across the gallery.
