Shanna Napanangka Williams

Shanna was born in 1988 and has painted with Warlukurlangu since 2002, starting at fourteen in the art centre's school holiday program. She is the great-granddaughter of founding artists Paddy Japaljarri Sims and Bessie Nakamarra Sims. Shanna paints her father's Jukurrpa, most often Napaljarri-warnu Jukurrpa, the Seven Sisters, which follows the seven ancestral sisters who became the Pleiades.
