Sallyanne Roberts

Sallyanne Roberts is a Pitjantjatjara artist from Indulkana in the APY Lands of South Australia. She grew up near Nyapari on the Country of her grandmother, the respected artist and traditional healer Wingu Tingima, who taught her to paint.

Her paintings centre on Kuru Ala, a significant women’s place associated with ceremony and healing. Through this subject, Sallyanne continues the connection to Country and cultural knowledge shared with her by her grandmother.
