More Janet works and new artists!
An ever so popular artist is back on our walls with new works - Janet Golder Kngwarreye. Janet is a skilled painter who is known for her vibrant and powerful "My Country" series, which are based on her homelands in Utopia. Her paintings often depict personal stories and memories of the land, as well as the sacred sites and geographic elements that are significant to the artist and her community.
It is also with great excitement that we announce the addition of two new artists' works to our collection: Teresa Baker and Joanne Ken from APY Lands.
Teresa Baker and Joanne Ken are two renowned artists from the APY Lands, who have recently begun working with us. Our connection to these artists comes through Joanne's son, Dominic, who is a friend of the family.
Teresa's recent works for us consist of a "Minyma Malilu" dreaming, telling the story of Malilu, a significant being of creation.
Joanne's work for us tell the story of Rock Holes and "Illilya", both painted with vivid and strong earthy colours.
Overall, we are thrilled to be able to showcase the works of these talented artists and believe that their unique perspectives and styles will greatly enhance our collection. We are honored to be able to host artworks by these two talented artists. We also look forward to collaborating with them in the future.
