How to get to Art by Farquhar?

The only Aboriginal Art Gallery in Adelaide open 7 days a week, located at 1070 South Road, Edwardstown, Art by Farquhar is a hidden gem in Adelaide’s art scene. Nestled South of the city and featuring over 1,600 original paintings, it is a local hub for some of Australia's best Indigenous artists.

Get to Art by Farquhar from the Adelaide CBD

Using either West or South Terrace, head southwest of the city using Anzac Highway. Then take the South Road turn off heading south. Continue for 3.7km and we will be on your right-hand side. We suggest turning down Conmurra Avenue prior to our gallery. You can then turn left down Gumbowie and turn left again to get back on to South Road. We have a spacious carpark out the front of as well as street parking available. 

To get to Art by Farquhar using public transport, we suggest catching either the 719,720 or 721 bus, which will pick you up on King William Street, Grote Street or West Terrace.

The bus stops on West Terrace are between the intersections of Gouger and Alfred Street or between Sturt Street and Gilbert Street.  

This bus will drop you off across the road from us.

Visiting our boutique gallery at Glenelg and want to see the main gallery?

Catch the tram to Stop 7 South Rd - East Side, then get on to the 719 or 720 bus heading south. This will drop you off 50m away from us on South Road. 

If you would prefer to get a taxi or Uber instead, it is usually 10-15 minutes depending on the traffic. They can drop you off or pick you up from directly out the front.
