Artwork story
Minyma Malilu Tjukurrpa tells the story of Malilu, an ancestral woman who travelled from the west in search of her daughters after they ran away with a man. When she found them, Malilu dug a cave near Kanpi where she lived, so she could watch over and protect them. Her spirit is said to remain in the cave, felt as cool winds during women's ceremonies.
