Janice Stanley, a third-generation artist from Ernabella in the APY Lands, paints the salt lakes near Mt Connor as part of the Seven Sisters creation story. The story follows two sisters, Wanyinta and Alartjatjarra, who travelled Piltati with their husbands hunting and gathering food. Beginning his career around 23 after being inspired by the work of William Dobell, Tom has since amassed an impressive resume of artworks in his career and is now recognized as one of Australia’s most influential Abstract Expressionists. Tom has showcased in galleries all over the world and been awarded around 30 art awards throughout Australia.
