Collection: Brooke Sutton
Brooke Sutton is a Kalkadoon artist from Mount Isa, Queensland, painting the Dreaming stories of her people in the Kalkadoon language. Her works depict ancestral narratives passed down through generations - stories of country, animal and cultural law that connect the Kalkadoon people to their land.
Brooke is the sister of Chern'ee Sutton, one of Australia's most recognised contemporary Indigenous artists. The Sutton family carries a strong artistic tradition rooted in Kalkadoon culture and language.
The works shown here are from Art by Farquhar's past collection. Each piece was sold through our gallery and is documented here as part of our exhibition history.
