Fresh new look to our Edwardstown Gallery

Recently we gave our gallery a revamp giving it a fresher look. We moved a few of our artists around.

Julieanne Nungurrayi Turner now have been moved into a new section, and a few scrolls now on the hanging racks. She has several stretched paintings on one of the walls as well. Her son, Farron Furber Jampitjinpa is across from her, and her mother Maureen Nampjiinpa Hudson and sister Gwenda Turner Nungurrayi are near the front door on the adjacent wall.

The painting room has now been converted into more gallery space.  Artists can now paint in our newly renovated print room if they would like to paint in our space. We recently had Clarise Tunkin and Janet Golder Kngwarreye here. Bernadine Johnson Kemarre and Stephen Martin Pitjara have been moved into this room.

Karen Bird Ngale now has a section where we currently have one stretched painting, awaiting another square one to come back from the stretcher. Her work focusing on "Awelye" which tells the story of women’s ceremonial / body paint.

Alice Granites Napanangka has been moved closer to the front desk. She has done a few black and white versions of her "Mina Mina Dreaming"

Janet Golder Kngwarreye and her family are all together. Rochelle Bird Mbitjana, Katrina Bird Golder and Janet's sister Belinda Golder Kngwarreye. We previously had their paintings on hanging racks.

Last but not least, we have moved our APY section situated now in the middle of the gallery. We can now display more APY artists work here.
