Collection: Julieanne Turner Nungurrayi

Julieanne was born in 1975 at Mount Allen (Yuelamu), near the Yuendumu community. A proud Warlpiri woman, she is the daughter of the esteemed artist Maureen Hudson Nampitjinpa. Julieanne's artwork vividly brings to life the Budgerigar Dreaming, a story that offers a budgerigar’s perspective of Mount Allen.
.
Julieanne also honours her mother Maureen by painting the "Tali" (sand dunes) story, a tradition she shares with her sister Gwenda & son Farron. The "Tali" paintings are dynamic, filled with intricate dot patterns that capture the movement of the shifting sand dunes.
.
Known for her extraordinary talent and precision, Julieanne stands out as our most popular artist. Her vibrant use of colours, particularly yellow, which is her favourite colour and she describes as makes her happy, adds a unique brilliance to her works.
