Collection: Debra Nangala McDonald

Debra McDonald was born in 1969 at Papunya Camp and has been painting since 1999. Debra has since become a sought after and highly respected artist. Debra comes from family of renowned artists including her grandfather Shorty Lungkata Tjungurrayi (a Pintupi man from Lake Macdonald in the Gibson Desert), her mother Martha Macdonald and uncle, Clifford Possum.

Debra's work is very vibrant & colourful and if you are looking to add a splash to your wall to brighten up your home we highly recommend her. She is very unique with majority of her works being painted on a red oxide background, giving the colours used in her paintings a special effect.

She is now the custodian for the Uwalki Watiya Tjuta dreaming (otherwise known as mulga leaves or bended leaves), meaning she is the only one who is able to paint this style.

Debra's work is regularly collected by high profile names across Australia, in generally very large sizes.
